A small team of 7 swimmers from Wellington competed this weekend at The Brierley Hill Open at Wolverhampton Central Baths. They faced very tough competition from swimmers from 16 different clubs coming from throughout the West Midlands. Considering the standard of the competition, the swimmers did very well, with all of our swimmers coming away with at least 1 personal best each.
Special mention must go to Thomas Mcleod who came away with two gold medals for the 100 and 200m Breastroke events.
Once again, well done to the swimmers and also to all helpers and supporters during the weekend.
Downloadable results can be found on the Results page of the website.

They faced tough competition from swimmers as far a field as Birkenhead (Merseyside) as well as teams from the West Midlands and Wales. All of the swimmers came away with medals, some great pb’s and all around great performances. All of the swimmers competed in at least 5 events which started at 8.30 a.m and went on until after 4pm.
In total they won – 2 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals!
A fantastic achievement by all of them
